Off topic: my wife's cat drank antifreeze and died as a result - luckily this happened long before I was on the scene.

I've heard that alcohol will slow down the production of the toxin produced in the liver from ingesting ethylene glycol (i.e give your pet a shot of booze before rushing them to the vet). Not sure if this is a myth or not.

I never let it lay around.
