I just deleted one of my own threads. Not because of anything anyone else said - but I found MYSELF dragging the thread into a place that upon reflection, I didn't want to go (a place commonly referred to as the gutter).

So, I'm warning myself - one more post like that and I'm telling me, I'm gonna have to ban myself!

We all need to encourage Basil not to do this. If he bans himself, who is the uber-administrator for the forum? And if there's no forum uber-admin - who is there to let him back in?

We'd all be digitally drifting in a rudderless ship made of bits and bytes...
