OK guys - pick this one apart...

A Left Hooker?

Notice that the passenger side door is a slightly different shade of green than the rest of the car. The commission number would make this around a 62 or 63 in which case it has the wrong bonnet on it. The early cars the bulge didn't go all the way to the trailing edge of the bonnet. By 65 I think it should be a 4A with the fender lights and chrome strips. I'm thinking someone cobbled this car together with tags they had laying around.

I think it's an ok car, actually not too different than mine. (Hope mine is a little better) But it’s a 45 year old used car, not a restored or well preserved classic. The near 20K buy it now would indicate that they expect to get IMHO double what its worth. I agree when buying from a dealer one should expect to pay more to keep the lights on, but that is a very dear markup.

Here is a very nice example again IMHO worth 20K and sold by a dealer confident enough in his merchandise to offer it at no reserve. Scroll down, it is sold.
The buttons might have been for hood latch pins or at least for that effect as they would have been worthless here.

Things I find strange.
Buttons on the bonnet? what are they?
aftermarket horns.

What i"m guessing is at one time someone put a UK type registration plate on it. It wouldn't be out of place except it's a left hooker.
It's possible that the car was a "Personal Export Delivery" that was registered in the UK and brought back to the States later. (Somewhat popular plan back then!)

Yes, Cascadia does a nice job - I'm still drooling over the Cactus Green TR4 they sold a year or two ago.

Wow! I had to go look for it:

Very nice, indeed, and indeed a very rare color on a TR4!

The short bulge bonnets were only up to CT6428 and this car is later than that.
