It is a Maserati Sebring, once restored they look like this;

Edit - I should point out that I'm only 49% serious about this, and it will likely end up out of my price range.

Even if someone gave it to you, it would likely end up out of your price range. Can't image parts are cheap...

I like that.

Awesome. I have found my tastes leaning more oand more towards odd ball. But, wow....what a $$$$ project...

My clothes would be on the street and the locks would have been changed by the time that I posted the pictures..............

Did you see the Dino Coupe on BAT. Now that was nice

Really nice Skip. Would love to have that in my garage

Going to try and dig up an old photo. There was a maserati being restored in the same shop that I had my car painted. Not sure of the model, but you could visualize that it was going to be a very cool (and expensive) car.

Cheers,
Tush

I like the paint job; you can easily find the doors even at night.

LOL.

Actually the only way to buy this thing would be with an expectation that you preserve her and then just drive her ugly for 10 years. After that, and you've got your money out of here (!) by driving then do the full paint/interior.

That would drive, understandably so mind you, many people batty as an approach but works for me

I'm trying to figure out the rationale behind the paint application. Search for the rear window glass before you buy it; the finished car is absolutely beautiful!

You owe me another keyboard. I just slobbered all over this one.

I like the 3500 line, this is basically the earlier 3500 with a body change/update.
I'm not sure how many Sebrings were made but I do know they only made about 2500 3500's of all type Touring, Vignale, Frua so parts are really scarce.
The 3500 is actually a pretty robust engine and with the ZF 5 speed good for an honest 140/ 150 mph. The higher mph with the Touring all alloy bodies.
Not sure if anyone is reporducing any body parts for them.
Not a bad example and this is one car where the mechanical stuff can def rival the body work bill.

Agreed, a rebuild is probably 15K+, but supposedly they are pretty robust if maintained.
