oiling chassis

Any thoughts on oiling / rust inhibitor being applied to the steel chassis of a 2500M? I'd just as soon not get much "overspray" on the fibreglass itself, as I don't know how it might affect the fibreglass.. I've seen at least one commercial rust inhibitor warp some plastic bumpers (on a Suzuki Sidekick) that I once owned.
Thanks, Paul

Some owners have drilled holes in the chassis at the end caps and sprayed Waxoyl into the tubes and resealed. Not sure what you can do with the outside, other than scrapping, cleaning and appling Por 15 or the like.

Cheers.
