Oil Warning Light

Twice on my fresh 76 tr engine (rebuilt) the oil warning light has flickered on for a few moments and stopped. The incidents are about two hundred miles apart. Oil level ok and pressure high (@75).

Any thoughts?

Sounds like your thigamajig is stuck. Some people call it an oil pressure switch. Happened to me. Changed it and resolved the problem.

Does it flicker at idle or at speed? When the light flickers what does the gauge read? The light may flicker if the idle drops below 500 rpm momentarily.
If everything else checks , replace the sending unit, they do go bad.
