Sounds a little like Monty Python if you ask me.
 
Clarke & Dawe were the main characters in a TV series "mock-umentary" called "The Games" about the making of the Sydney Olympics that was hillariuous and impossible to tell it was not real. I was actually fooled for a while at first. I bey you can find some episodes on utube now.
