T-Series oil pump

I have read that the oil pump in the xpag engines can have an oil pump failure due to the circlip that secures the drive gear in place fails. I have tried to purchase a full circlip for this, but have been supplied with a"C clip, or have been advised that the circlip is unavailable. I have exhausted supplies as they were either too small to fit or mile too large. Can any one advise me a supplier or of a positive method of fitment . I have approached a MG specialist who can only supply me with a "C"clip. He also said the original pumps had press fit of shaft to gear were as the later pump shaft to gear is only a tolerance fit , This appears so as it took a lot more persuasion to remove the gear than to fit the new one Any clues Saltiga
