Oil Pump for BN2

Have to replace the oil pump in my 56 BN2, 100M. I see that AH Spares has the pump available along with the Drive Shaft. Moss has just the pump. Any guidance/expereince on which is the best pump

When I rebuilt my BJ8 engine a few years ago I found that Denis Welch's pumps were competitive with the 'usual suspects.' I don't know if that's still the case, esp. with current shipping issues, but you might want to look into it. As for the shaft, if there's no apparent wear on the gears it can be reused--IMO--but if there is wear you'll need a new one and you might have wear on the cam gears as well.

Thanks, Bob. Don't see a pump for a BN2 on the Welch website.

I'd be surprised if they all aren't selling the same pump. You can be pretty certain Moss isn't selling one of their own manufacture.
