Afternoon:

I have just looked through most of my reference info but can find no info on an oil pressure sending unit. I would guess that there has to be something some where. Can anyone out there tell me about it?

Thanks, Tinkerman

Why would you need one? The TR's have mechanical pressure gages.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Assuming you are trying to add one; then the easiest method IMO is to remove the oil filter head from the engine and drill and tap it for the new sender. Most of them are threaded 1/8" NPT.

As Merlin63Tr4 notes, the original gauge was mechanical (meaning it needed no sender); the line for it was attached to the filter head by a banjo fitting that goes over the stud with a copper washer between it and the special nut; plus a different copper washer between it and the filter head. The filter head has a groove through the stud hole to allow oil to pass to the banjo fitting.

Yep, your both right! Thanks for bringing my head out of the clouds, heh. Tinkerman
