The TR4 Workshop Manual section on engine reconditioning page 1-134 has the procedure.
If you have the pdf version look at page 83.

I did find one other issue...I have a silicone gasket for my aftermarket valve cover. It seems to have grown about an inch and doesn't fit well anymore...

Tush, my TR3 silicone gasket did exactly the same thing when I took it off this spring to adjust valves (also from Justin). No idea why they stretch while installed. I forced mine back into position on the cover, and siliconed it in place. Left it overnight on bench with weight on the cover. In the morning it was held in position, and I reinstalled. I've had off since then and it still seems OK. Cheers, Mike
