Changed oil and filter, started engine with no oil pressure. Never been a problem before. 1960 BT7, spin oil adapter with Fram 3600 filter, Castrol 20W/50. Removed new filter and installed a Fram HM3600 (high mileage) it has a bypass valve. Still no oil pressure. Filled filter full of oil, pulled spark plugs and still nothing. Consulted my airplane mechanic and he suggested having someone spin the engine while I loosen the filter (removing trapped air?) Worked great! 40lbs while spinning! Have 55lbs at 3000rpm. Now if someone can tell me how much oil to put in the engine. I have 6.5 qts in and the stick says its a quart and half low??? Thanks, Love this forum!!!!
