Oil pressure guage shows no oil pressure!

Converted my 67 BJ8 oil filter set up from the original to the spin on type using a Fram 3600 filter yesterday and when finished I started the car my oil pressure guage showed no oil pressure. Prior to the conversion the guage showed the pressure was 60 at start up, 55 at normal operating temperature and 20 at idle. I searched the forum and found a post where someone else had the same problem and seemed to think it was a defective oil filter I havn't had a chance to try another filter but Is it possible that this could actually be the cause of the problem or does anyone have another suggestion as to what could be the cause of the no oil pressure reading on my guage.
With the 0 pressure reading on the guage is it safe to drive the car or should I explore other causes to the problem? everything else seems to be fine with no leaks or other problems. thanks

Definitely do not drive the car!

Like others said above, probably got the adapter itself mounted wrong. Check that the holes in the adapter line up with the existing holes plus make sure the gasket itself is not installed wrong and blocking the oil flow holes. Don't know if you used any type of gasket sealer but if you did, make sure that has not blocked any of the holes. And like all have also said, do not drive it !
