I am going to get a stethoscope and listen around different areas of the engine. I did a little more research and found that the noise I’m hearing can actually be caused by a worn timing chain tensioner. The tick sound goes away any speed above an idle. Shows back up, and inconsistently when it comes back down to idle speed, which is roughly 750-800 rpm. Concerning the oil pressure, it appears that it did drop back between 50 and 60 psi. I removed the adapter, looked for anything obvious. The filter was full, so I’m going to let that go for now. I took the pressure relief pin and spring out, cleaned it up, measured the spring length. It was correct for the length so I put that back in.. The rockers appear to be getting oil, unlike an old V8, the oil isn’t splashing all over the place, but you can see that the oil weeps from the holes. If anyone can verify that that’s normal for the top end, let me know. Thanks
