oil on the charcoal canister

While cleaning up this evening I noticed oil pooling on top of the charcoal canister. I also noticed when I changed the line from the valve cover to the canister that it also had some oil in it but didn't think much of it. Valve cover is stock with the restriction in place the breather is vented into the Webber carb. I also noticed a little bit of oil around the outlet inside the air cleaner.

Any ideas on what's causing this?

Interesting! I would think the carb would way out-suck the vacuum on the canister! My RD has a Webber 45DCOE and the crankcase is vented the from the separator to the air cleaner. I've not seen oil go out the valve cover hose.

You might check to make sure nothing is blocking the tube from the separator to the carb or air cleaner. Mine goes close to the foam element and I'll bet it could get bunched up and clog.

I was thinknig along the same lines, Adam....gotta be a blockage somewhere that's building pressure & forcing oil back through the hose to the cannister...but, can't figure out why.
