Oil Leak

I have an oil leak between the tranny and the OD unit, I am assuming that it is caused by the gasket that is located between the two coomponents.

Are there any issues to be aware of when separating the two parts?

Thanks,

Ray

From my experience it's not too hard. Coming apart is easy. During reassembly problems include keeping the various splines in line to acccept the drive shaft and getting the oil pump cam under the pump plunger. If you dissassemble the O/D unit to renew o-rings, etc. drawing down the springs unevenly during reassembly can gaul the bush in the O/D annulus.

HI Ray, there was a reference to an article by MR Finespanner that covers this in detail. Check the forum archives it appeared just recently.---Fwiw---Keoke
