Oil for Shock Absorbers

Hello All,

What weight oil should I use in my refurbished lever arm shock absorbers? I seem to remember that a standard 20W oil was recommended, but I may have that confused with the dashpot oil.

Thanks!

For shock absorbers you need to use oil with anti-foaming agents otherwise you run a risk of complete loss of damping if your oil is a little low. This means you should use "Fork Oil" available at most automotive supply stores or motorcycle shops. That or buy the Moss Shock oil, which my guess is the same thing.
