Oil Filter Wrench?

Over-abused drain plugs and overtorqued filters are a fact of life, especially in a commercial environment.

Best/worst story I have was a Ferrari 308: "Kid" owner bought it (well) used and had JUST enuff money to own it, not the reserves to have it properly maintained. Took it to a quickie LOF outfit, a few days later he shows up at our shop sayin' it's makin' some strange sounds from th' "rear end".

I drove it about 20 yards and shut it down amazed at the NOISE. Turned out th' Zeke at th' quick-rip drained the transaxle and then added SEVEN more quarts of oil to the engine! After a tear-down and a show-and-tell, he went back to the lube place and explained the issue. Lucky for him the franchisee was a Ferrari owner. The guy was sympathetic and admitted culpability. He ponied up for the rebuild! We even got a visit from the Ferrari traveling support guys, pictures and notes, etc.

If "Olio Motore" and "Olio Transmissione" looked alike I guess it would be excusable...

but on a 308 they're CAST into the bottom of the unit appropriately.
