I just got a spin on filter adapter for my big healey. It came with no instructions at all does it bolt onto the black adapter that the old canister bolts onto or does it bolt directly to the block, can anyone help. Thanks Skip
 
Most of the adaptors bolt directly to the block. Check gasket hole alignment, & adapter hole to block alignment. Make sure that the adapter bolts are the correct thread & length to go into the block. You "could" have an odd adapter that works differently. If it is similar to the Moss #635-840 it goes on the block.
