oil feed kit for 1500 midget? negatives in this?

I am considering adding an oil feed kit for my 1500 midget. With the kit it allows more oil flow to the rockers by making the flow path though the external hose (which probably has less resistance to the flow, hence allowing greater flow). If more flow is going to the rockers, won't that be steeling oil flow to other areas?

Go to mg experience building a 1500 - there is an article that says exactly that - steals from the crank, not a good idea.

Bad idea.

The rod bearings are already at-risk in a normal 1500. Less oil would kill them sooner.

In 7 years of racing my 1500, I never had any significant wear to the stock rockers arms (no extra oil line).

I ran the external feed for a while on our GT6 engine. As above, it stole oil from elsewhere and lowered the overall oil pressure. I have since removed it and will not be installing any such kit on our Spitfire 1500.

I do not buy a lot from Moss but I have seen recently that they are selling an uprated rocker shaft with bushed rockers for the 1500. I would rather spend my money on that than on the external oil feed.

A bunch of us with TR6's put one on 4 or 5 years ago. If there are any that are still on I would be surprised. I think mine is still in my shop, if you want it you can have it. I won't ever put it back.

I had a feeling that there was some negatives in adding the oil feed kit. Don't think I will be adding it.

I may be updating the rocker shaft with the bushed rockers though. My old rockershaft I haven't been able to take it apart to inspect it(removed the lock screw and pin), can't seem to get the pedestals to slide off the shaft to get it apart.... any trick in this?
