Hello,
I'm sure this question has been asked before but I haven't been on the site in a while.
Can I just use a regular Fram Filter, Delco etc. or should I be using any special make for my 1977 MGB.

I have also just been using Castrol GTX 10W30. Is that OK?

For a street car any filter will work, just change em when you change the oil, Like every 3K miles or twice a year.

20-50W please.
 
I run WIX filters on all of my cars, including the race machinery. Readily available at NAPA stores, and they have gotten the best ratings in oil filter studies I've read.
Personally, I wouldn't use a Fram filter to filter drain oil before I disposed of it.
Just my tuppence on the filter, and I agree with Jack on the 20W50.

Fram has a bad rap.

Wix and NAPA (same manufacturer, I believe)are both highly recommended in the MG community for their internal valving systems.
 
Ditto on the fram comment. I use Puralator (pure-one I think?)...and also 20w50 as specified just about everywhere.
 
WIX and 20W-50 Castrol GTX.
 
I use K&N or Napa Gold. For oil, 20W-50 is best on these engines unless you're in a cold climate, in which case you can use 10W-30 without issue.
