Oh yeah bay-bee!

Awesome! Not one to complain, but before often I thought I'd lost my broadband connection while on the site. Pages load sooooooo fast now! Thanks Basil!

Man, this thing is so quick that I now have lots of time to visit other sites!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif with everyone....This is great Basil

I guess the number of new members in the last week, and the number of folks online is a great measure of success also.
You've done a huge service Basil.

That wasn't my primary purpose for doing this ya know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

Thanks one and all! I have to say that I'm amazed myself that it's as fast as it is. I figured if I got a good 64-bit processor with fast SCSI drives and leased a decent sized "pipe" that it would have to be better than the way it was running on the Virtual Private Server (VPS) that I had been using. I knew it would be an improvement, but really had no good feeling for how much of an improvement. Needless to say I'm very VERY happy!

Cheers,
Basil

PS: I am still in the process of uploading "member files" so if you click on an attachment and it comes up empty, then you'll know why. I'm uploading more of them now (but there are over 300 Megs just of attachments).

Next I have to upload the Photo Gallery and the Classifieds Gallery, but those are both huge as well, so they may not make it back to fully on-line status until this weekend.

Well, THIS morning I logged on and it came up like lightnin'. Now the only "bottleneck" I have is the GUP's tired old processor!

Great job, Basil!
