No, it wasn't posed.... and it was years before Photoshop! An Allegro "Panda" car from my force at the time that I was serving. The spotlights on the roof indicate that it's from the old 'A' Division, covering the centre of the city of Birmingham.

I think you have the wrong animal. Not a black dog, but an Old Speckled Hen probably caused this mishap....
