Hi All, Good to be back, It’s been a while and an interesting 18 months. I have just purchased another LBC and am waiting for it to arrive sometime in the next few weeks! Big country this one.

A bit about us ? well we are English from Hampshire/West Sussex we have spent the last 10 glorious years in Christchurch NZ and now find ourselves living the life in Noosa QLD Australia.

I'm looking forward to new mystery's of LBC ownership and cant wait for the old banger to arrive so i can start taking it apart and trying to work out what i did wrong when I put it back together.

Cheers
Dougal

Mickey

Ha! Thought that was a reflection in the photo!

Yeah, it needs to go!

No reflection someone trying to improve Mr Cokers design. Not sure how to get it off heat and a lot of patience I should think. Will save that discussion for when the car arrives

If it's vinyl, Dougal, hunt up a sign/graphics shop and ask about what they have for removing it. I don't recall what the stuff is called here, likely not the same name in Oz anyhow. But there's chemistry available that softens the adhesive and shouldn't eat the finish underneath.

If it's painted on, well, you know. :eeek:

Good call, I may ask them to do it! I don't want to get the the razor blades out on my new toy.

No razor blades! There are some products on the market that are perfect for this type of task.... 3M have an excellent adhesive remover what will sodten the glue and you can use a soft plastic scraper to remove it. Groits Garage also have a vinyl softener, probably a similar product. 3M stuff should be readily available in OZ. Oh, and welcome back Dougal!

Cheers Steve good to be back, may try some of the 3M stuff we can get it down here. Not 100% sure about removing the stripe though just had some pics back from loading the car and im not sure it looks so bad.
