Wow! This would be fun to have.

Beautiful car, but that is the most curious ebay ad I've seen in a while. One small picture of a car on a trailer, and the rest of the pics just brochure related items. Is ebay just being used for free advertising here?

Strange, for sure. I went to their website, and the same info/lack thereof is there.

I still want it though!

You and me both!

I don't even think the picture on the trailer is the car, or at least not how it appears today. The copy says NO radiator, trunk lid, or spare tire...all visible in the car on the trailer.

Hmmm...that place is close to me....maybe I should go and take a look. How much do you figure something like that would go for in a "driveable" condition.

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

I have no idea. But if you do go, please report to us what you see!

Mickey

The listing says it's for sale locally, so there's a price available...

I have to agree with Art... the car on the trailer is not what I think the winner bidder is going to get. My feeling is that the winning bidder will be hauling a bunch of UNassembeled parts.
I copied this line right out of the auction:
<span style="font-style: italic">The engine is out and every part refurbished and ready <span style="text-decoration: underline">for reassembly</span>.</span>

I have a couple of days off next week, and am only 1 hour from Toronto,
so if someone wants a report, I'd be glad to go.

Not that I'm in any position to bid on such a rare car, but it would be nice to know more about same! It might well be as the seller says: the only survivor. Even if it isn't, big pre-war Triumph saloons are exceedingly rare, and it's unlikely you'll see many others...ever. It might be worth the trip if only for your own satisfaction?

Sounds like another ebay scam to me. 1 pic of what may or may not be the car, plus the other pics are clearly ones found on google, as they are all different sizes. If you took pics like that yourself, you would use the same camera, and thus have the same sizes and resolutions. I wouldn't bid more than $15 on this without seeing it in person.

Hard to say,IMO. I won my 'project' TR3 on an ad that was even worse (no photos at all, almost no description at all, seen only by appointment, seller was 45 minutes late to appointment) and yet it was all on the level. Just a seller that was not very interested and had little experience with eBay. (I never even met the car's owner, as he lives some 3000 miles away.)

With only 3 feedbacks, this guy is very new to eBay, which may have something to do with how poor the ad is.

Curious thing; the eBay auction shows "100% positive" feedback for the seller; but when you click to see the actual feedback, it's only 75% positive! The 4th feedback was from a disappointed buyer, apparently the car was sold before the end of the auction.

Well, Bramhall is a pretty big and well known dealer in consignment cars, but yes, it would definately be a car that you would want to see in person....

I doubt the trailered car is THE car being sold. If someone could go look I for one would love to read the trip report and hopefully see some pictures. What a cool car.

Where on God's green earth would you get a trunk lid for this thing?

"The car is complete with manuals and documentation except for radiator, trunk lid and spare tire."
