Speaking of a Saab Sonnet, an Army buddy in 1970 entered the service as a dentist, like me. He told me this great story that his wife had entered a Clairol contest from a Cosmopolitan Magazine, one entry, first prize a Saab Sonnet sports car! She won, yet! At the time she was about 8 months pregnant with their first child, fresh out of dental school at NYU, and broke. They went to the local Saab showroom in NYC and viewed their prize. She was so pregnant that she couldn't even get into the thing. They instead opted for the cash (remember, broke). They ended up with $4K. But for about 47 seconds, they were the proud owners of a space ship sports car. End of story.
