Been working on installing 3/4 Oak flooring in the back bedroom. Did the Study, the hallway and the living room already! Two more rooms to go and the whole hose will be wood (except the kitchen and bathrooms which are tile). Now I know why they charge what they do for this kind of work!
 
My sympathies! BTDT. Have now some roofing work (plywood, felt and shingle) due to termite damage, ceiling drywall to replace. This, while 'smits is away in Miami.

Are we havin' FUN yet?!?! :jester:

I'm gonna tackle the same boss, replacing the kitchen and adding the dining and family room. About 900 ft of Tiger wood

Not many jobs I'll pay someone else to do - roofing I'll pay for gladly.
 
We're having tile floors done in two bathrooms. She won't let me do it (and she's right....I don't think my knees could take it). It'll seem weird to have someone else working in my house, but it's probably a good decision.

Last week, a decent sized tree came half way down in our yard (storm damage). Later I went out with my chain saw, but she waved me off and called a tree service.
But I'm not complaining; she told me "Go work on your car instead."

I <span style="text-decoration: underline">built</span> our other (summer) house....singlehandedly.
But that was 30 years ago.
And I was a roofer in college.
But a lot of this work takes too much out of me these days.
And anyway, I'd rather work on cars. :laugh:

No, used to have some Ben Nevis. But that got replaced with Chivas
