I don't mean to plug my auction here, so if you want the link to it pm or email me.

I decided since I'm a wee bit desperate for funds due to my upcoming trip to Prince of Wales Island for Salmon & Halibut fishing with my 16 year old son...

I decided to put a certain Midget part up for auction on that big auction site we all know & love / hate so much.

I thought about it for a while and decided to put up a starting price of $98.00 and a BIN price of $99.
This way, if one of those "watching" makes a bid but does not BIN the other watchers would have no recourse but to outbid him if he really wanted the item.

I know, EVIL little me.

Did I mention I'm desperate for funds for this trip?
This will be the first trip to Alaska for my son. Hopefully his first really big fishing experience and my dad called a couple weeks ago to surprise up by telling us he is coming the same week as us!

SO - I didn't have anything, poles, reels, waders, lures, tackle, etc... plus the airfare and the camp fee for the week and .. and ... and ... I'm really spending a lot of money here!
What was I thinking - you know how much I coulda done to Frank for this much???

Oh yeah - it's good for the kid. I suppose it's good for me too. Anyway - just thought I'd share.

Man, you'll love Alaska....my dughter, while she was in high school, had a poster in her bedroom that read: "Once you've been to Alaska you never ever come all the way home."

Now, what's that auction number?

So, what the heck is the link. You are not in the business so you can list it here, oh yea supporting vendors may as well I think.

I just want to be careful & respectful of this forum that I enjoy so much and has given me so much.

Here it is:
item number 190239351599

I've a few other items I should also list. So many parts, so little time.

You can also place an ad in the classifieds with a price of "Best Offer" and add the link in the ad. Ads for parts are free, but donations are welcome if you sell your item though the forum

Thanks Basil, this is a great place!

One of the very best parts of this forum is that we let each other know when there are parts, cars, what ever available someplace that one of us might need.

We always do a deal on the bits just trying to keep things running and looking good. We even include links to business web sites for those that are haveing problems finding something.

This, not including the fun we have just chating and such is an excellent way to help out a bud.

Rick, the money you spend on this trip for you and your son will be worth every penny in terms of shared memories.

A few years ago I took my soon to Kilimanjaro to trek to the summit.
Expensive...you bet. Now years later, after some bad situations in our family, we still talk about it as being the best time we've had together.

Memories in the bank are better than money in the bank in my opinion.

Take pictures! Have fun!

Yes, I totally agree!

I did get a new camera this spring (thanks for the stimulus Mr. President). I was also able to buy the plane tickets & pay the camp fees and shuck out some bucks to the dentist for some of the kids.

SO - we will go, we will (hopefully) catch some fish, and we will have a GREAT time.

The weather forecast is showing highs of 57 with showers all the way up to the 3rd. But we will have rain gear. Who knows, maybe the weather will improve? SE Alaska can be cold & wet.
I'd better get some thermals for both of us.
We will be there the 3rd through the 9th of August.

Well it didn't sell, I relisted it with a much lower price.

60's grille on Ebay

Please bid early & often
