Well, the unthinkable happened. I pulled out onto the main road and saw a small fox brown dog on the shoulder in a bad turn. I knew she was going to get hit and before I knew it, the unthinkable happened......I stopped and took her home. :wall:

"Foxy", the newest memeber of the family, is currently curled up in my wife's lap with her head tucked under my wife's arm. She is VERY happy and seems to be "home". No collar, doesn't seem neglected, but would have been killed had I left her there. I put out a sign, but probably should go take it down as I don't think my wife will allow a neglegent owner to put her at risk again. Well, he we go again, another 10 years and 10K..... :wall: :wall: :wall:

Our house currently has 7 cats, 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, a cockatoo and 3 children that came to us because "a neglegent person put them at risk".....and we wouldn't have it any other way
 
bro-in-law has a small zoo. about 30 rabbits, God knows how many chickens, some kinda lizard and whatever else wasn't wanted by someone. Probabaly some bats in there somewhere. He married the city version of Ellie May. She looks like Heather Lockleer a bit.

yeah, but the more I think about it, the more I think it's "someone's dog". She doesn't have any fleas and wasn't hungry when we found her. Granted, she may have been too nervious to eat, but still. Some folk 'round here don't get proper dog ownership. They take to shootin' strays if they come on their property. They wouldn't shoot her, she's too small and they probabaly wouldn't plug my bassett either. I don't know, it bugs me either way. I know how I feel when my bassett gets out. I hate to think someone is fretting over her, but I'm realy glad she's safe now.


BELIEVE ME, aint no better doggie momma than my wife. It's like winning the doggie lottery.
 
If the “foxy” dog you found has not been neglected I would take her to a vet and see if she has a microchip implanted to identify her…
 
No collar, I doubt she has a chip.

She's not eating and I'm really getting worried.

It's hot; she may be a bit disoriented. Give her time. As long as she's drinking water...
 
She still hasn't eaten and I'm not sure if she's drinking anything. Scheduled for a Monday a.m appointment.

Na, she doesn't like to eat when folks are around. I figure nobody can turn down the Mrs.' roast beef. I'll feed her whatever she wants, long as she's happy.
 
kellysguy, i agree, your a good man and did the right thing, and your wife has a kind and generous heart as well, people such as yourselves is what brings hope to our society. :yesnod: um, just ah wonderin, does she make the roastbeef wiff tadors?, my mouf isah wowderin. :laugh:
