Hello All,

Well, I fixed my fuel gauge using the suggestion from this tech site
that Ford had a comparable float. (Mine was filled with gas.) I did
have to play with wire holding the float, Ford's was a little tight.
I got my volt gauge working, there were two hot leads on the back
and a ground dangling. I removed one of the hot leads and plugged in
the ground and it's working fine.
The next problem, in addition to the Rheostat, is that when I engage
the heater knob, it burns a fuse and I don't have any gauges.
The fuse is a AGC 20. I wonder if this is the correct fuse?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I found that, on my heater knob at least, some of the "unused" tabs on the back of the switch grounded out on the metal of the hole where the knob inserts and would blow fuses. I covered them in electrical tape and so far, so good. I'm sure someone can offer a more definitive solution.
