Pulling apart a TR6 and I noticed that this wheel was different from the others. I’m assuming that the 3 posts are for a hubcap?

Yes it’s either a 250 rim or from a 69 TR6.

Find the rest of the 250!
 
69 TR6 wheel. 250 wheels did not have nipple extension but Rostyle hubcaps will fit on that wheel. I have a couple of sets. Plan to use the wider 69 wheel and rostyles on this next 250 rebuild.

BTW- a TR3/4 hubcap will work on that wheel if you wanted to do something a little different
