Who knows the number on the bottom of the tach for a 1974 MGB with an OD transmission? I put the OD from a 74 GT into my roadster but I am under the assumption I need to change the tach. The tach I took out of the GT is amongst several with different numbers on them so I don't want to make a mistake. Do I need to change the Speedo too and if so what number is on it?

Vince - The tach doesn't to be changed, engine RPM is engne RPM with or witout O/D. The speedometer needs to be changed to match the speed that the car is traveling at a given engine RPM. That said, I will have to look at the speedo in our MGB when my wife gets back from her errands. OUr MGB cam with a O/D already installed.
Cheers,

Thanks Dave.

My speedo just stopped working and that will be my next project (well, other than more pressing jobs around the house or fishing) so let me know what numbers you need and I will look then, if you can't find out before then.
