Octane magazine's September, 2011 issue which commemorates the 100th issue of the magazine, features a section devoted to what their writers consider the top 100 cars ever. Ten of Octane's writers list their top ten cars. Writer Mark Hales, a noted automotive writer, former racer and test driver for the magazine selected the MG Midget as one of his top 10!

His #1 car of all time was the Chevron B8 with a featured article.

Hales' remaining 8 cars were:

Lola 210
Ferrari 250 GTO
Maserati Birdcage
Ferrari 512S
Alfa Romeo T33/3
Lotus 11
Ferrari F40
Alfa Romeo 1750GTV

Pretty rarified company for our little Midgets, and deservedly so.

Now, I'm just waiting for my Midget's value to skyrocket . . .

Neat list of car.....many I really like.

But I'll tell you what, Mark.

The MG Midget (and the Sprite) have let more people race than all those other cars put together.

And, the 1972 SCCA Class F Champion, no less.

The MG Midget: a national Champion!

I think it takes 2 gallons just to start a few of those cars.
