Octane Boosters - Has Anyone Mixed their Own?

I personally wouldn't try to mix anything in my gas except for a small amount of Marvel Mystery Oil for a top cylinder lube or Sta-Bill for storage. Playing with chemicals that could potentially damage an engine or any of it's components could be very costly and possibly have disastrous results. It is a science within it's self and should be done in a lab equipped for such experiments. I know in racing, especially drag racing, it has been done quite frequently, but that's another story and some definitely with drastic results! JMHO.

If you fancy building engines from th' leftover pieces when they grenade themselves if you go wrong, go for it.

Start with Chevy V-8's tho. LBC blocks are gettin' scarce.

Some things just need sayin'. :smirk:

Deleterious effects to engine components aside, those chemicals aren't exactly known for being "green". I am more concerned about the deleterious effects to my biological and anatomical components!
