Oakville British Car Day.

Klutz and I drove down together with our wives and had a great time. I saw an absolutely wonderful yellow Spitsix which I would really have liked to own, and lots of great Morgans and big Healeys.
On the way back I passed an old RR sedately and majestically sweeping up highway 400. Since I was driving a rather working class Spitfire I touched my cap in salute as I passed, and the rear seat passengers raised glasses of red wine to acknowledge.
A nice ending to a great day.
Simon.

An absolutely amazing day. Perfect weather and an incredible number of beautiful cars. I was able to get my TR4 together in time for the show and proudly displayed it among the others.

........Cheers, Alex

A great time indeed Simon. I loved the drive through the marsh, except for the potholes, and the weather could not have been better. Sorry about making you follow me the wrong way, but it seemed a lot more then us went to the wrong enterance. I guess the MG fellows saw a Triumph leading the way and thought "He can't be wrong."
Anyway, glad both of us made it home, in tact, with our cars, and didn't have to use CAA.
We can hardly wait until next year when hopefully we will have a "B" to take down too.

What a great event! I always enjoy myself at these! We were there bright and early with the white 61 MGA(driver quality) and the MGB LE...picked up a convoy of Triumph guys and a race spec MGA just a few miles before the entrance they all followed in behind us, Very Nice! Weather was perfect and it had rain 2 days before so it kept alot of the dust down in the morning(I dread driving through that every year). To bad I missed you guys, hope we can meet next year!
