The BMW dealer says my catalic converter needs replaceing but I don't care if the car has one or not.

Why not put in a peice of pipe and drill a hole and weld a nut to place the O2 sensor. What is so magic about this very expensive peice of stuff. Keep in mind that Florida does not test any cars.
