Hey Mark, Look at my SIG. and see the red toy MY wife let me pick up to keep in the driveway.
She also LET me buy an engine AND Overdrive Tranny last month to transplant into it. That is why we are so lucky to have wives. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF
 
My wife encouraged the OD transmission purchase a few years ago. Turned out to be a good thing to do... better gas mileage and lower engine RPM. It was such a good deal we bought two! T.T.

Hate to be the one to burst your bubble but look closely at that tranny. It is an early 3 rail for the early 1147 and 1300 engines. Won't work on yours without a lot of change over.

Hey Darwin, Are you sure?

He describes it as coming from a '77 and it sure looks like a single rail to me but the pictures aren't clear. I've asked some question of the seller and have yet to receive a response but I'm curious to hear how you can to that conclusion.
 
seller says it came from a 15oo, and is a 20 spline?

My mistake. I was looking at 7912299491. The one you are looking at is definately the 3 rail you need.
 
Did you decide you better "Buy it now" Mark, or did somone else grab it?
What part of Tranna might I see you driving around in? I work in South Etobicoke.

I've got my brother-in-law picking up the tranny on saturday.
I wish I could do something about those 2 neg feedbacks. The comment do not accuratly reflect the circumstances of those transactions. Oh well Live and Learn.
At least I have a new OD tranny to play with this winter.

What do you mean Winter? Pick it up on Saturday, and you have Sunday to get busy with it, and finish /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
And.. Yes... somtimes it is hard to relay thoughts on transactions. I just bought pistons and rods (real cheep) from somone in the States for my extra MG engine. The pistons are great, but the box was just folded in. All the bolts and half the bearings are now somwhere between here and California. You can't leave a Neg...BUT.. or a Pos...BUT. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I learned the "rod bolt law" in an expensive fashion at a tender age!
