Hey y'all,
Regardless of your politics, an article in the NY Times on 3/28/11 reportedly( I assume my info is legit) states that the esteemed senator from NY, Chuck Schummer is going to come up with some legislation to tax all of us rich guys with our collector cars who have been avoiding taxes all these years. Don't know if anyone else has seen this as I got notice of it from my local LBC club in Charleston, SC. Wish I knew how to somehow get it to this site but if someone wants me to send it to them, PM me and I'll e-mail it. Bottom line, just what we need, some moronic senator thinking only rich guys - you can guess which party he is in - have collector cars. Guess I need to go hide my Healey along with my guns and ammo !!!!

Well, thank goodness, hadn't figured out how I was gonna bury the Healey along with my guns and ammo and not have any rust !!!! Can't say I found it funny either but shows how gullible I have become in my old age.
 
Well, with algore's internet, I learned long ago to not believe anything I read until I confirm it elsewhere. That one was done....well. Orson Wells type of well.
One less thing to have to take a pill (or a swig) to calm down from, I guess.
 
This one may be a hoax but there are people out there who are actively attacking the collector car "industry". Hagerty magazine has a Historic Vehicle Association update in their latest edition. Learn more at historicvehicle.org.

Let's hope there are not any real senator types that can read..
They might just come up with a real law....
