TR2/3/3A NW or the N side of the amp gauge for the OD?

I am hooking the last leg of the power to the relay from the amp gauge for the overdrive. Would the wire go to generator side NW or the N side of the amp gauge?

Original configuration would be to the N (battery) side. I don't think it matters much, it just keeps you from seeing the initial current surge on the ammeter.

I suppose using the NW side would give you a look at the current surge Randall mentioned and a 'heads-up' if it lasted for more than a fraction of a second. But it is better to just have a slow blow fuse on that power feed so things shut down if the solenoid gets stuck.
