Numbers re Chassis project

I decided my earlier thread got a bit tired so for anyone interested, here are some numbers I've come up with from Spydercars and a shipping agent.
Chassis alone (original style) is £1595
Chassis with sundries, suspension, sills etc. is about £3100
Shipping port to port is estimated to be about £900

At this point I don't know how much of the sundries I will need but assuming I need all, the total looks like a bit under $5000 at today's exchange. Not cheap but I think it will add that much to the value of the car. I have not placed an order as yet and will do a very serious inspection of the original chassis before I do but at this point, I'm leaning heavily toward the new chassis rather than repairing original.

Doesn’t seem that dear too me? I would take advantage of the favorable exchange rate at the moment.....who knows what will transpire in the next few weeks?????

Yes, I think you might be right. One problem is trying to get everything I need in one shipment so that I don't get into multiple shipments of large items. Shipping wise everything that goes into the crate is nearly free after I pay for shipping the chassis. That may take a couple of weeks.
