Now THIS looks like FUN!!

I .... want .... one ..... now!

Let's see....$40k quid.....wonder if they would take two MGCs and an MGB in trade?!

I also have a first born (and I'll throw in the second one too!!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif (Ooops /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif I forgot I already gave them away...Oh well...Lotto tickets!!!)

WHOOOSH!! WOW!

...I notice it has some odd, obscure badge on it. What's a "LOTUS" ?!?!?!

mehheh. To 100 MPH in sommat under 9 seconds... and CHEAP!

"Form an orderly que!"

and it only has a 4pot mill under the bonnet! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Yeah, you know... Lotus. It's one of them there Italian cars /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Assume the Lotus position and start chanting "Om, My, Me, Want! Om, My, Me, Want! Om, My, Me, Want!" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

My problem is I'd have to get 2. What's the fun in screaming around the countryside when there's noone else who can keep up?... Ya gotta have a "camara car". hehehehe

If you get two, I'll come up and drive the camera car for you /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Now that is one heck of a motor car. $80K give or take a few, still puts it lower than a Porsche 911 (or at least some of them), or a Meredes 500SL.

I know what I would have in my garage given the choice and the money!

Lotus: Defined as a rare, elusive sports car manufactured in Hethel, Norfolk in England. May be found in their natural habitat, lurking in garages in the state of Florida. They are masters of disguise, and may be camouflaged as piles of cardboard boxes and similar clutter. Rarely move unless provoked out of their hiding places.

Am I close? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Think I know some good hunting grounds...think I could get a license? hehehe

Hmmm... now I gotta be on alert for POACHERS!?!

...geez...

But I'd likely recognize any o' you lot slopin' around my patch. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Ah, but if we set up a decoy......a keg of CAB next to an HDTV showing a video loop of a selection of Alfas with fully-functioning alternators (that will be the hard part) set to a Jimmy Buffett sound track. The Alfa male (pun intended) will be distracted long enough for us to do our work. (Delivered in my best David Attenbrough/National Geographic/Nature Channel voice).

Way too cool!

Maybe it's street legal in the UK but without a proper windscreen I'm not so sure it'd be ok on this side of the pond. Fix that and perhaps an optional drop or removible hard top it'd be a no brainer here.

Hmmm... I gotta git me sum dawgs...
