Question:
It says this car has a GT6 rear with TR7 internals.
GT6 has IRS and TR7 has a live axle.
So is that even possible?
 
Wow, really nice conversion.

Reminds me of a Traveller that I saw at British Invasion in Stowe. The guy had transplanted a Toyota engine in the Morris and did a remarkable job, simply a beauty inside and out. They drove to all the way Vermont from Greenville, SC in the Traveller and it looked like a trailer queen. Really, really nice job. Anybody have pictures of the Traveller?

Yes. The early TR7 rear axle used the same basic differential unit as found in the GT6, much as the same basic differential unit of the Standard 8 and 10 found its way into the Herald and Spitfire. Actually, they're all the same, but (obviously?) the later units, especially those for the 6-cylinder models, were beefier internally.
