Met Jody (F) Kerr & his family today.Nice people,
& I got to bore them with my stories (didn't even cost-
me any beer this time!).
I don't think that his Wife will want to come through
Eureka again.
I was thinking more along the lines of "Here we are in front of-
the Statue of Liberty","Here we are in front of the Capitol building","Here-
we are in front of....".
I think the only bit she didn't like was Doug and I out jibber jabbering about car related stuff until very late in the evening. I wish we had more time for longer stops, and the old town part of town would have been a great walk on a non-rainy day. Samoa cook house was also really good. I'd love to go there again after having worked up a really good appetite.
Part of our challenge has been, as my wife admitted later, was that she's never been on a proper road trip before. A minor spousal meltdown occurred in Portland, so we opted to take a few days in vancouver to enjoy Canada day and be out of the car a little bit.
You know how it goes, happy wife, happy life!
Now we're in Index, WA. The kids are preparing bicycles and wagons to be in the parade.
