Now that's LBC racing

Cool, but looks very tiring for my old bones.
There seems to be two school of thought on these..."Aero" and "Skeleton". (below)

Pesonally, the CYCLEKARTS look more appealing...they have engines!

Now the cyclekarts look like something I could really get into and enjoy. The pedal carts just don't seem as fun, if I want to pedal I'll just ride my bike.

Those Cyclekarts look fantastic!

If you take all the rest of the address off the end of the home page, There are plans for some really nifty pocket yachts.

Just what I need another garage project to go in the garage that is a project itself.

There was a company in the early sixties that made TR3 and TR4 pedal cars...now THAT would be fun!

There used to be Gravity Soapbox racing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed until several accidents last year put an end to it.

The mechanics from the Formula 1 teams entered racers and put hours and much money to build streamlined racers made of the latest materials.

I might have a photograph or two somewhere.

Dunno, I think my old Herald could still have taken them on the straightaways.

Maybe.

Now that would be something to see.

Now for those of you who want an engine but might pedal a bit.... have a look at the attached.

Very nice (and a nicely arranged photo too)
Honda started his company making those.

No....the Honda auxilary bicycle engine (called the "A-Type) was used to drive the back wheels. Honda did not make the bike....just the engine. They came out in '46 or so and were popular in post WW-II Japan.

Now that looks almost like a motorbike.
The positioning of the engine looks like it would keep your knees, and other bits, warm on a cold day. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Is it yours?

BTW Great photo

I may have to make two of those cyclekarts. one for me , and one for my teenager. To race around the vacant lot next door. looks like a gas!
