$pent so much time already, I thought: "May As Well" (wink to James!) so now the engine looks like it belongs in this car. Not "official" colours, but the next time it comes out, it'll get "The Treatment."

Great, Doc! Now you can post it on eBay and advertise it as a complete restoration! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

heh... "Rattle-can Restorers"!!! --- "...errr, nevermind th' lumps, Sir. They're ALL that way."

Very Very Nice! It's seeing pictures like these that help keep me inspired. Thanks for posting.

Have a happy Thanksgiving Day

Don't see anything to be ashamed of..

Excellent! I yearn for the day when my engine looks like that. I've taken the first step (Time and Money well spent) - that only leaves how many steps to go? (Never mind - I don't think I want to know yet!)
Keep up the great work, Doc!

I'll just keep pullin' th' sled... Now that I'm comin' down th' "home stretch" th' reinforcement is encouraging. What shoulda been a couple months has turned into nine... with likely another one to go... and no epidural! The old saw: "life is what happens while you're planning to do something else."

Thanks guys, really. It's been frustrating to stay motivated when I know the Elan is less than two yards away and needs the SAME effort, PLUS the engine & transmission rebuild. I'd like to have it on it's feet before I need a walker just to get ~TO~ it <BFG>!!! That one gets put up onna website, details included.

Enjoy th' Thanksgiving Holiday, too!
