I signed up for two car shows this weekend and then I was going to pack up and head to my Daughters Condo at Mammoth Lakes and spend a week fishing and hopefully brag about the trophies I won and the fish I caught.
But when I got up this morning there was a little bit of rain. I thought I would just wait a little bit and then drive to the show after it stopped raining. Well it didn't stop raining but began to thunder and then lightning. So no car show today and not tomorrow either because the weather is going to be the same.
So why not watch the British Open instead. Well there not playing there because of bad weather.
Okay I will read the paper and do the crossword puzzle. But, no the paper didn't come today for some reason.
So now the plan is to drive to Mammoth Lakes tomorrow instead of Monday.
There is only a small problem and that is that we have to take the Cajun Pass to get to Mammoth Lakes and last time I checked a lot of cars were burning up in that area.
So you see nothing is going as planned. That ain't right.

Life has its ups and downs. My advice: get a dog.

Maybe not good for you, but the rain should help the fire containment in the Cajon pass.

I have a dog and she is going to be well taken care of by a good friend who is going to house sit while we are gone.
The bright side is my grandsons who are 9 and 7 can't wait to go fishing with me.

I'm gonna be in your neck of the woods again next week. Hope to visit the Sunset Cliffs again.

Hey I am Sorry I will be up in Mammoth next week. To bad it isn't the week after. My Daughter and Son-In-law bought the Condo about two years ago and completely
remodeled it. It is one of the nicest ones there. I will send you some info about it. Try not to limit yourself to just the Sunset Cliffs. There is lots of stuff to see in Balboa Park. Right now the Museum of Art has an exhibit on Coney Island which is pretty fun to see.
Last week I went to a lecture by William Strout. I had never heard of him before What a creative person. Besides doing such things as comic books and stuff like that he created all the Dinosaur Murals that are in the Natural History Museum. They are fantastic.

I would love to get back out to Balboa but not going to have time. Where I'll be staying (and working) is real close to the Sunset Cliffs so after work I like to swing out there just to try and snap some sunset pics. If I were going to be there over a weekend, then I'd do some of that other stuff. Maybe next time.
