I was living in the DeVille Motel on Tulane Ave., where my dad was manager, in the fall of '67 - senior at Fortier High School. There was a little family pizza place across the street that I frequented. Can't remember the name, but nice spot. Seems like "The Letter" was always playing on the juke box.

"Soul Deep", "Cry Like a Baby" - all good stuff. And LOTS of beers!

Oh, and "Those Were The Days" was another staple.

Don't get me started!

That was also my freshman year in college.

I had seen the Box Tops in concert at a local amusement park in the 1980's. That is much too young for the end to come...
