Hi Guys.

I have a 1973 spitfire and on the right hand side of the steering column I have a switch that is mounted at the very bottom of the dash. It looks to be original but I have no clue what it is for. Can any one shed some light?

LOL that is a very good question. I am going to try and post a photo of it. I havent been able to find it in any of my manuals I have. I can trace it back to find out what it goes to I was just wondering if any one might know off hand.

Hey Andrew. that is a very good question. When I get home from work I will try that to see. I just thought it was in the strangest place.

I vote with Andy, turn it and watch you trip odometer. That's where mine is (75)
CJD, the oil slick is automatic, no switch required.

Hey Andy and Rhodysprit, You guys were right it was for the odometer reset. I would of never thought those 2 were connected where that was located. Thanks for your help
