...this, but did anyone hear the story on NPR within the last week of the 93 year old lady in FL who is giving up driving her '65 Mercury Caliente (sp)...after <span style="font-weight: bold">567,000</span> miles!!! The only replacement items other than tires, were batteries, shocks, and mufflers, which were all bought with life time warranties.


Sight problems made her quit, but the car is still going strong.

She said that the car used to get 21 mpg, but with today's fuel, she only gets about 10 mpg.

Did we ever build them this well? Hmmmmmmmmm
