Not sure how exhaust should fit?

I am fitting the stainless exhaust from Moss on my Bugeye. I have the front-most hanger on and the midpoint hanger. At the very rear, I can either let the exhaust come fairly straight back, and in this case, the rear exhaust pipe is about an inch or two inside of the left bumperette or whatever its called, but this puts the silencer about 1 1/2 inches from the fuel tank, which is a bit of a worry. Or, I can push the rear of the exhaust more to the left, and the rear pipe comes out an inch or two to the left of the left rear bumperette. Looking at some Bugeye pictures, It is not easy to tell where it is supposed to come out as original. Anyone know?

Jim,

There is a stud (or should be) near the end of the floor pan, between the hole for the bumper brackets and the fender. The muffler should be right below that stud. You can see the exact location in this photo.

Thanks, Gerard. That picture helps a lot. I do have a hole where that stud must have been.
